Naval Air Station Fallon, part of Navy Region Southwest, is in Churchill County, Nevada, about 70 miles east of Reno, Nevada, in northern Nevada’s high desert. Carson City, the state’s capital, is only 90 minutes away. 
NAS Fallon is also near multiple outdoor recreation sites, including stunning Lake Tahoe, about 90 miles to the west and Grimes Point just 10 miles east of Fallon that offers self-guided interpretive trials that features rock writing and petroglyphs. 
The World Championship Cowboy Fast Draw is held every October at the Churchill fairgrounds. Cowboys compete for the title of “fastest gun alive”. 
The area offers plenty of activities such as music, theater, historical landmarks, parks, sports and shopping. 
The Fallon Cantaloupe Festival & Country Fair or the challenging corn maze at Lattin Farms’ Fall Festival are some of they yearly events that the whole family will love.
