Machodoc Creek Marina is a 64 slip marina with deep water access to the Potomac River on the Upper Machodoc Creek in Historic King George County Virginia. Paddle boards/tandem kayaks and canoe are available (seasonally) by the hour/half day or day. Come see the wildlife and explore the beautiful creek while getting some fun exercise!

Caledon State Park is a National Natural Landmark known for its old growth forest and summer home to one of the largest concentrations of American bald eagles on the East Coast. To protect the eagles, access to marshes and the Potomac River is limited. However, tours of the eagle habitat are offered seasonally.
Colonial Beach, Virginia is a river and beach town located approximately 14 miles from Dahlgren. It is bounded by the Potomac River, Monroe Bay and Monroe Creek and home to the second-largest beachfront in the state.
