In Rhode Island, students must be between the age of 4 and 6. Minimum age for kindergarten entrance is 4 years 7 months before the first day of the school year. All children must attend kindergarten before age 7. LEA may require students admitted to kindergarten to attain the age of 5 on or before August 31 and January 1.
