The Coast Guard Maritime Protection Force is located in Silverdale, WA, on Naval Base Kitsap in Bangor. Silverdale is on the Kitsap Peninsula, situated ten miles northwest of the city of Bremerton and nine miles south of Poulsbo. Silverdale lies at the north tip of Dyes Inlet, which connects it to Bremerton via Sinclair Inlet and the Pacific Ocean via Puget Sound.

Take a short walk across the Manette Bridge for more cafes and shopping. A few blocks north of downtown is Evergreen Rotary Park featuring the 9/11 Memorial and accessible playground. Silverdale is approximately an hours drive or ferry ride from Seattle, a city on Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest surrounded by water, mountains, and evergreen forests.
