Getting to Know the Area
Fort Drum is approximately 30 miles south of Canada, with the Great Lakes to the west, the Adirondack Mountains to the east, and the St. Lawrence River and the Thousand Islands in between.  There are many outdoor activities to enjoy, including skiing, white water rafting, and hiking.  There are also many family friendly activities, restaurants and shopping areas in nearby city of Watertown.
